Line Designs have been around for a very long time.  Most memorable are those created using the placement of straight lines.  Alysia created her own style of line design while attending her high school Fine Arts class with Sister Elizabeth, the class mentor.  Sister Elizabeth had asked the class to create a line design.  Most students were using straight lines for the assignment.  Alysia opted to create her own design by mixing in everyday objects and figures.  These objects and figures blend in front of and behind eachother.  All lines connect having roughly the same space in between them and cover the entire sheet it is drawn on.  Alysia's style of line design was unique in the classroom and still is to this day.  She has created many more since then.  Her line designs can be based on any theme imaginable.  One 28 ” x 22” design takes approximately 40 hours for her to complete.  They are created using a ball point pen and a poster board.  Those who have had an opportunity to view these pieces have stood amazed and enjoy the images as they suddenly appear out of and within the lines.
